Problem #1: unsupported hardware. See 
<http://www.openbsd.com/macppc.html>. PB G3 FireWire (Pismo) is

Problem #2: try "boot cd:,OFWBOOT ..." See 
<http://www.openbsd.com/errata.html>.

FWIW, mine doesn't. Instead, it flashes garbage on the the screen for 
a fraction of a second & then boots Mac OS 9 from the HD.

Unfortunately, all of my experience with these is under Mac OS 8, & 
9. I can only offer the educated guess that one of the things you 
tried before *might* work if you replace "ofwboot" with "OFWBOOT" & 
remind you that your PowerBook is not specifically supported.
