Hmm.. Cannot get 2 NICs detected? Do I buy other NICs?
Hi all, thanks to Andrey and others for the previous comments on my
"Newbie building a firewall/NAT oB 3.0 box.... oh boy...." post, they
have been very helpful.
I have an additional question...
I have 2 NICs in my PC... one gets detected correctly, and I get a IP
assigned by my cable company's dhcp and can ping around using it
(Realtek chipset).
I can't get oBSD 3.0 to detect the other however... it is a 3COM
3C900TPO PCI card. (10mbps/PCI)
>From http://www.openbsd.com/i386.html, I see support for 3c9xx:
"3Com 3c9xx EtherLink XL adapters (xl), including:
3Com 3c900/3c900B PCI adapters "
so should this card be supported, or not (Mine is has that TPO code)
I also tried a 3COM 3C509BTP (10mbps/ISA), with no luck. (this model
doesn't appear in the supported hardware list)
So my oB ignorance leads me to the obvious question... is there any way
I can add support for these cards, or, do I have to shell out a few
fresh Euros for, say, 2 Realteks?
They do work nicely in my Windoze boot... :-)
