I don't know about Dariusz wants gcc-3.0 for I wanted the same version
as I was running on a Linux box for testing purposes and scping it
from one local box to another was quicker than downloading a new
version.  Nothing more complicated than that.  I'm not suggesting that
people use it in preference to 3.01 so there is no need to get bent
out of shape.
