This is not completely true. You`re subestimating the hard work of the OpenBSD
Team.
Security is about:
a) Well designed protocols
b) Correctness (source code)
c) Configuration
You`re just talking about (c)
Only OpenBSD works on (a) and (b), and a little on (c) (so beautiful layout,
very good documentation, secure by default)

So, OpenBSD security is not just about turning off services by default.
AND I should add that OpenBSD is not just a firewall. It`s my web server,
my file server, my DNS, mail server, even my desktop! It`s a platform for
developing projects based on free software with good quality and without
restrictions. Just to name a few uses...
