This sounds like a really simple thing to script for post installations.
This is the approach that the Bastille-Linux (www.bastille-linux.org)
folks take towards "securing" default RedHat Linux systems.

So this could be done upon the first reboot of a system (or soon
thereafter), or alternatively, could be an additional option to the
installation program. We all have access to the source, if anyone is
motivated, lets see some patches. :-)
