I can tell you that it is detected on -current:
auich0 at pci0 dev 31 function 5 "Intel 82801BA AC-97 Audio" rev 0x01 irq 5: ICH2 AC97
ac97: codec id 0x83847600 (SigmaTel STAC9700)
ac97: codec features 18 bit DAC, 18 bit ADC, Rockwell 3D
audio0 at auich0
This is on a Gigabyte 60XM7E (i815 based). I haven't tried to see how
well it works as the machine in question was meant to be a low end
server.
