I have isolated the problem to OpenSSH's sshd version 2.5.1 on my stock
2.8-STABLE system. OpenSSH was compiled from source. /var/log/wtmp becomes
corrupt after logging in remotely over ssh.
cp /dev/null to /var/log/wtmp restores 'last' to normalcy (but, of course,
nukes the prior entries).
Has there been a change in the wtmp format in -CURRENT that is causing all
these woes for me (as ports and ssh now, I think, track -CURRENT)?
Thanks,
Geoff
