My errrr friend when he was a young sysadmin typed 'rm -rf *' in /
thinking it was /tmp on a Sparc 5 Solaris 2.4 machine which was a
production web server. He hit ^C really fast, nearly suffered a heart
attack but the Sun was fine and no files were lost.
