Newbie Q: PCMCIA/Cardbus
Hi,
I recently installed OpenBSD 2.8 on my laptop after the ESS Maestro chip got
support and am as of yet unable to get network access via either of my
network/multifunction cards. I am using a 3Com 3CXEM556B (pcmcia) card and a
Xircom CBEM56G-100 (cardbus) card.
Looking around I've found a couple things which would lead me to believe
that these two cards can work under OpenBSD:
3CXEM556:
http://lists.openresources.com/OpenBSD/source-changes/msg00560.html
CBEM56G: http://www.geocrawler.com/archives/3/256/2000/11/0/4658831/
Anyway, if anyone has had any success with these or knows what I'm not
doing; could you please e-mail me with any pointers/suggestions/resolutions.
It would be greatly appreciated. So far I've checked all the resources I can
think of with no success.
I've also included the dmesg for my laptop with this message.
Thanks in advance
Alex Anglin
