Hi there, I'm not sure if this is a bug or a
feature
but, I have a 386 I'd very much like to install
openBSD on.
Problem. The battery is dead ):
so the time defaults to Jan 01 1990
I get an error as qouted below
"
WARNING: clock time much less than file system
time
WARNING: using file system
time
WARNING: CHECK AND RESET
THE DATE!
"
Problem #2 this is an old " digital DECpc
325sxLP" I'm fully aware that this is archaic hardware that shouldn't even be
used to level a couch, but for its speed it can be put to certain uses. The
problem is, is that for some messed up reason the only way I can get in the bios
is if I unplug the hard-drive and floppy. I get the error's then it gives me the
choice of running the setup program by hitting F2. booting while holding F2
(with HD $ FD plugged int) results in an anoying beep nothing more.
if I could set the time manually upon each boot, I
would be an absolute god send. (or a better pc :)
Thanks,
I appreciate the cause. Richard Jenniss.
