USB problems on Dell E521

Hi,

I'm forwarding this message [1]initially posted on the hardware
list. Here is a summary of the USB problems I encounter on my
brand new Dell E521 AMD64.

To make FreeBSD boot, I have to:

* disable the front USB panel, and one of the two rear USB panels
in the BIOS otherwise the keyboard and mouse do not work

* unplug the mouse during the boot, otherwise keyboard and mouse
do not work. I plug it in again once entering user-land

I also have a very annoying problem: when I run Xorg, the mouse
freezes after about 5 minutes of mouse activity, I have to unplug
it. As soon as I plug it in again, mouse moves freely. I tried
with another mouse, same problem. Restarting Xorg does not help.
Restarting moused either.

Any idea to solve the USB mouse problem would be more than
helpful. You will find attached the dmesg output, just in case.

Some more observations:

* I tried using the [2]USB patch, it slightly changes the error
messages, retries to assign an address to the USB device a few
  times and gives up.

* I was using FreeBSD 6.1-RELEASE, and upgraded to 6.2-PRERELEASE
(checked out from RELENG_6) but that didn't change anything.

* I tried booting the Ubuntu Live CD, and it boots fine. However
the mouse freezes in Xorg after a few minutes of mouse activity
  like in FreeBSD.

Please find attached the dmesg output, thanks in advance for your
help.
