Hi there,
I rebuilt all my old ports that had been carried over from 6.2. I installed compat6x and diablo-jdk-1.5, and , after a long time working away, openoffice compiled with no problems.
I then uninstalled compat6x and diablo-jdk1.5 and using it with jdk-1.6 .
cheers,
B
