The one from ports it's also the linux version and should be identical
with the one from skype.com. If you found any (bad) differences please
let me know.

The trouble with Skype is that it's a linux, close-source, binary.
Maintaining the port is frustrating as there's almost nothing one can
do to help users :-/
(Twice frustrating as netchild@ manages to reply to emails regarding
skype before me :-) Alexander, I wonder how you manage to do that).

As said above, there's very little we can do; ariff@'s work on the
sound system fixed _a_lot_ of the problems we had with skype (a few
months ago it wouldn't work on via823x-based sound-cards /motherboards).
