usb keyboard hangs on 5.3 install

Hello
I have submitted this bug already with no response. On any 5.3 beta
series, when I boot the machine with a USB keyboard, it hangs on
sysinstall and won?t let you navigate. Keyboard just becomes dead. I have
no problem with the same machine on 5.2 and 4.10. 
It is an ASUS a7v333 if it matters
